If 1SICK thinks the Nissan Interiors are bad, just wait till he sees this! :eek3:
notice how in the "Gallery" section, it's all pictures of the exterior of the car? The only interior shots are scattered around other parts of the site, and there aren't very many of them either.

The car looks like the offspring of a rx8 and a ferrari.

No way they can sell a Korean car for $50K.......:nono:

the exterior is soso. But the rear is ugly.
The interior is cheap.
I don't care how exotic looking or exotic performing this car can be. Unless Samsung is building this car with Samsung quality, I don't think this car can stand up to high-speed without falling apart. :thumbdn:
There's a new sports car on its way from Korea, according to the Dutch publication, Autoweek. Proto Motors' mid-engined Spirra was shown at the Seoul Motor Show and will first appear in Korea only in 2006, though it will be exported later.
It's powered by 4.6-litre 320bhp V8 with some 300lb-ft of torque, propelling it to 60mph in 4.4 seconds. You'll also be able to specify a supercharged version.
Proto also wants to build lower-powered versions, presumably so it can build in greater volumes. The first is a 2.0-litre turbocharged version with 280bhp offering 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds and 131mph top speed. The other will be a supercharged 2.7-litre V6 with 240bhp, and 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 140mph.

Not a bad way to introduce the first Korean V8 engine in the US at all.:)
As for the interior...you get what you pay for.
Edit: On the other hand, Corvette offers 400hp and 0-60 in 4.3s with a nicer (somewhat) interior for just $43k. So there goes the $50+k Korean car. :hello:

Not bad but not great. 50k gets me a Vette or maybe a M3

i like it and am going to consider getting one once there's more information on the car.
50k actually sounds like a good deal for what your'e getting.
personally i like the exterior styling, interior looks like it needs a little work.
my father told me you should always help out koreans and he bought himself a daewoo leganza...OWNED.
but this car looks pretty promising and fun.

Now that I've seen Taxi with Queen Latifah and Collin F., this is the only image I have whenever I hear "daewoo" :D
Imagine pulling in this car for service at a Hyundai or Kia dealer :egads:
Well, Protomotors is its own company right?
OK, for $50k, in addition to the corvette and m3 mentioned above, what other (better) cars can we buy? ;)
It does look nice though, mish-mash b/t nsx and gallardo to me, mr2 in the back?
Is this typical racing steering wheel suppose to be this ugly? I'm not being sarcastic, what do you guys think?

maybe the interior might be intentionally designed that way, to keep the car light... more function over form..
as some ppl will say, why would you need a good sound system in a race car? the sound of the engine is already the sound system.

the interior doesn't really look definite yet. i mean they have clean pictures of everything else but the pic of the interior is hidious. i'm sure they'll clean it up a little.

agreed with the two above
i don't think it's a bad car at all. at first i objected to the sneering tone "who would buy a 50k korean car," but the more i thought of it, then more it's gravitating me on its side. i don't know; it looks great, but who would buy... the question remains..

I actually like that car a lot. And as far as the interior goes, it looks all business and very functional for a race-type car. I think this would make an excellent track car, as mid-engine rear-drive is definetely one of the best setups for a track car... think mclaren, ferraris, etc. For 50k I think it'll be a pretty good car. The front of it reminds me of the Honda HSC/NSX concept car. Since the NSX is going away, this may be a good and cheaper alternative (it'll definitely have more power, although the handling probably won't quite match the NSX).
I say more power to the Koreans for making a car like this. ATSOU, I agree that peoples' initial reaction will be the same as yours. But if you remember, once back in 1989 everyone laughed at this japanese company called Toyota for thinking they can build a car to compete with BMW and Mercedes. Now they are selling those cars for upwards of $70,000.
The only concern I have for them trying to sell it stateside... they may need to partner with an existing company hear for sales/distribution. I don't think the company can have dealers that can survive alone on this car.

Looks ok but at 50k, the C6 and M3 look a whole lot better.
