anybody happen to know what radar bands cops typically use while 1) stationary, watching cars go by and 2) when actually moving with traffic? from my understanding its usually K band for stationary, KA for moving, and X is the old band that was used but now is usually found in things like automatic doors for buildings? any help would be awesome, thanks :D

K band is also used by some security systems and auto doors as well

K-band is all cops use here moving or not...

state troopers use Ka-band

x-band is no longer used

depends on the state....
X band is still used in some states.

Definitely still used...it was actually annoying that my V-! picked it up so early, I was looking for the cop for a good mile or so (On the way down to Florida), I forget which state it was...maybe SC.
