jmecbr900 09-29-03, 08:27 AM I bet the dealer didn't come down off the price too much after that...... :D
TXSTYLE 09-29-03, 10:32 AM Well all I can say is...........:nono:
On letting kids get in a Sports Car (probably any for that matter) and fire it up in the Showroom! (they're not too damn smart either)
He even scuffed the Red EVO on his way through the Glass! :eek2: :egads:

Haha..........what can we say? Kids are dumb, that's why they always try to race every car on the street:thumbdn:

They do carry insurance, but I doubt it covers negligence. Oh well, serves the dealer right for letting someone start up and rev a car in the showroom floor.
Johnny Mo 09-30-03, 08:11 AM That salesperson, probably lost their job for that too. At my wife's dealership there is a standing policy that the keys are to NEVER leave the sales person's hand...it is too easy for a scammer to do a switcheroo with the keys and before you know it you have a big problem, and you don't want someone driving a car off the rotating platform.
adidosc 09-30-03, 11:37 PM probably just got done seeing 2 fast 2 furious. :p
Wald GS 09-30-03, 11:54 PM I can't stand those evo riced out lights...
sc4canada 10-02-03, 01:14 PM :driving: LOL LOL LOL How does this dealer make any money if he has such poor judgement. That's what I would like to know.

I totally agree.....The first thing we did to our EVO VIII was switched the tail lamps with JDM all red ones. Boy did it make a difference!! Maybe I'll take some pics to show you guys. Besides drifting off topic, that person must have revved it really high to make it go that much of a distance. What a bummer dude.
Dominik 10-10-03, 02:57 AM Sort of similar story (well it involves a crashed up dealership car), happened to one of my friends. He had a civic at the time, and some lancer tried to race him in the middle of traffic.
3 lanes, the left most was mainly parked cars (australia remember, we drive on the left!), and the other 2 lanes were pretty packed with traffic. The cars that were parked there were mainly dealership cars since there are like 20 dealerships on that stretch of road.
My friend is a pretty safe driver so he just pulled into a gap in the parked cars, gave it a bit then tucked into the traffic again and slowed down. The lancer driver tried to do a similar move, but misjudged completely and slammed into a parked (brand new) Audi A6 outside of an audi dealership..
D'oh!:egads:

Since the car is not registered yet, the dealer gets to repair the car back to new and sell it to an unsuspecting buyer not even knowing that the car already have been in a wreck.
