View Full Version : Arnold on Dateline
lex400sc 10-05-03, 09:05 PM Are you guys watching this? Arnold is being interviewed on his campaign trailer by Dateline NBC and he sounds like a babbling idiot. He can't answer any of his interviewer's questions directly. He twists his response to fit a message he wants to give, and this message is being rhetorically stated narratum verbatim no matter how nonsensical it appears when aligned with the original interview question. I really hope California's gubernatorial seat is not left at the mercy of this highly unqualified actor. I'll take Tom McClintock over Shwarzenegger any day of the week. In fact if he is voted governor, I'll be first to sign the petition to recall him. For you Bush fans, look at this as a "pre-emptive strike at defense" on behalf of the commonwealth of California. ;)
SDuquette 10-05-03, 09:08 PM So vote for McClintock. I think he wouldn't be bad, just doesn't have the following Arnold has. Possibly it would be a nice underdog victory

Why don't you elaborate on what you mean by that, since you are so familiar with California politics. I'm anxiously waiting :).

I'm hoping you have the intelligence to figure that one out on your own (in no less than 5 paragraphs I'm sure):D

No really, tell me. You made the comment, now justify what you just said.
Davtown 10-06-03, 07:20 PM this whole "Debate Forum" should be renamed "SCLexus3.0 vs lex400sc" :p

Arnold was first criticized because he wasn't a politician. Now that he is beginning to act like one by avoiding questions, he is being criticized again

I don't personally think Arnold would make a good Governor, but I do think that Gray Davis NEEDS to be removed. There is NO REASON WHATSOEVER that Gray Davis should only NOW think about the well being of his state, Only after his Job is on the line. He should have had tried to fix the problems before the people told him to get out.

Allow me to clarify for you: Arnold was first criticized for lack of experience and lack of general knowledge on government and social issues. He is now being criticized for embodying everything bad a politician is: a worm that cleverly dodges the issues to push his broken record of a campaign slogan.
It looks like the political methods of the other candidates are brushing off on him :egads:
Anyways, he is not getting my vote. I'm rooting for McClintock
lex400sc 10-07-03, 02:18 AM Good for you Eric, an educated voter! Too many people get caught up in the glitz of a Hollywood Governor without stopping to think about why they wanted a recall to begin with.
EmeraldLexuSC3 10-07-03, 12:27 PM I admire McClintock for sticking it out and not dropping out of the race. It's Arnold who should have
bowled out long ago. McClintock has a better chance, if the Voters will vote on their conscience and not on
influences whom they think will win from Stardom and Media polls.

I completely agree with you. but I don't live there, so my vote isn't even possible:rolleyes:
