There is someone who compliments a LS430 and he gets attacked, then all the people who attack him get attacked.. We have some BMW people who LOVE Lexus.... I guess in part because many of them own(ed) Lexus vehicles.

Most of the BMW owners are pretty cool and they just love the performance of the bimmer. I think they got nothing against Lexus, not just like MBworld. I enjoy to read on the bimmer forums than the MB...IMO.

The BMW is more fun to drive period (BMW 330i here). The reliability is not as good as Lexus, but it's still above average. If you want total fun in terms of driving, go with the BMW. If you want a better line up of sportier looking cars, you go the BMW route once again.
The Lexus is all about luxury, reliability and great customer service (had a GS430, which was great, now have a RX330, which I also enjoy). Very refined cars with excellent features (NAV / ML Audio, etc...).
Both brands serve a different crowd. The average age of a buyer of a Lexus is higher than the average age of a BMW buyer.

yeah actually a lot of bimmer people are very cool people and they know about cars as well as know how to respect all the cars. specially if you go to 5 series forum or so, you can see the maturity level, just like the GS forum or so here on CL.
most of the time it's those 3 series people (kids?) that get ignorant and think they are the king... pretty pathetic i have to say. but then i also see a lot of cool 3 series people too

As much as he was a fan of Lexus, this guy obviously doesn't know how to drive. The 2004 LS430 does 0-60mph in 5.9 seconds. Does that sound sluggish and heavy to you? Can't get the tach over 3000rpm?
