Well at least it is an option in the Benz.
I really would like to see the LS430 have it too in the center console or the headrests, rather than leaving those that need it seeking for aftermarket parts and installations.
The mocha color would work better in an open-top convertible for me.
This is the so called S500 "designo" edition, the exterior roughly looks black, but it is actually dark brown metallic paint. Interior is moccha brown. There's another designo edition, and it's somewhere in between silver and gold on the exterior, and beige on the interior.
What differentiates a "designo" from a regular S-class is that most interior parts and panels (dashboard, door trim, seatbacks, you name it) are covered with leather, and the headlining is alcantara. It has all the S600 options without the V12 engine.
I believe you can get a "designo" with the LS43 right before the facelift: on that particular year (I believe 2003), Lexus also has the dash covered with leather. I don't know if this is also the case with the new, facelift LS43, but I don't think so. Of course Lexus don't call it "designo".
