I don't think the poll results would mean anything because it all depends on what your expectations of the war were. If you were skeptical of the outcome from the beginning, your expectations would be very different than someone who had great expectations and high hopes. What news you get and where you get it from also has an effect on your perceived level of success.

I don't think this pole was made to prove anything, it is just a questionnaire to find out what everyone thinks (with all their biases, expectations, and sources of information).

Here are my thoughts: I don't think the administration planned the post-war situation sufficiently enough. Of course you cannot be accurate with your predictions about how things will be, but seeing the looters, sabatoge, bombings, and daily deaths of our troops makes me think there wasn't enough post-war planning or that the plans just are not going right.
