deep hum at around 1600 rpm

When the rpm reaches around 1500 in my GX 470, i hear deep roar as though it is straining to pull. It is not loud. It is just a deep engine noise inside the car. You have to listen carefully to hear it.
I am not sure if it is normal. I am worried. Can anyone explain if it is a problem and if so, what kind of problem it is? I live about 4 hour away from the nearest Lexus Dealer.

Try searching for "drone", there is a TSB (ST3010) for a low rpm droning/vibration issue with the GX470, I have an appointment set up for next Monday to have this issue resolved. It is covered under the 4yr/50k warranty.

It might be covered by the 6yr/70K powertrain warranty.
My GX has 60K miles but dealer still applied the updated "clunk" fix for free.

The clunk fix is covered under the 6yr/70k powertrain warranty.

The drone however is covered only up to 4yr/50k, as seen in the TSB (the TSB number has been superceded to ST3010)

Hi - Thank you for your reply and the TSB. My Gx 470 is 2006 make. I was wondering if any TSB that applies to 06 model reg this issue exisits.
