well a lot of members with aftermarket HID have reported the exact same problems as you. do a search, it'll come up. From what i have read, i think it has to do with the location of your aftermarket ballasts. For members that have OEM HIDs, their ballast are in a place that doesnt affect the steering wheel

What if I re-located the Ballast do you think it may work ?

to tell you the truth i have no idea. I basically gathered my info from the members on this forum, but no one has reported back after they mounted the ballast in a new place. In fact, the whole ballast thing isnt even confirmed, its just a coincidence that whenever the steering goes wrong, the person has had aftermarket HID installed with the ballast being very close to the steering ECU.

but since you mentioned that you have a 2009, i would suggest you go to the dealership and report that your steering went crazy. They'll look into it and replace everything for you for free since your still under warranty.

Members on this board have reported problems with power steering and radio interference when installing low grade HID kits that do not have an EMI filter. Careful what you purchase for your car. HID kits are NOT created equally.
