Hello Club Lexus,
So my Lexus has roughly 35,500 on it and the bearings are bad.
At first I thought it was the tires but that horrible truck sound is from the bearings (two quotes from Tuffy Tire and GoodYear). Is that covered under my CPO Warranty. My car is completely stock except for tint, which has nothing to do with the tires/wheels/powertrain etc.
This ****ing Lexus as been in the shop for three recalls and now this and ive had it since 23k miles. WTF LEXUS!!

That must be the wheel bearings which is part of the hub assembly. Normally typical life expectancy is about 85,000-100,000 miles.
It should be covered under CPO, go ahead and bring it to Lexus and have them check it out. Unless there is an actual problem with them, it should be covered. Unlikely but maybe the previous owner was abusing the car and causing rapid wear to the wheel bearings.

For my 99 Camry Solara which I had before I switched to my IS, I had driven around 200K+ on existing hub assemblies. It was good I could drive it that long but that was bad because was not aware of life expectancy at the time, so essentially I driven them double their expectancy! This would explained why I had to change rotors/brake pads more often because of pulsation. When I actually had them replaced the tech showed me the bearings, they were barely recognizable!!

Hub bearings go bad many times due to out of spec rims. Learned this the hard way in my early days of modding. The guy that had your car before probably was lowered and hella flush or something like that. He probably returned it to stock when he sent it back and the techs can't tell because hub bearing damage can't be seen and needs a very discerning ear to hear in the early stages.

If they failed due to aftermarket rims, no, it shouldn't be covered... (now, if those rims are gone and replaced with stock ones they probably won't figure out the cause and they'll cover it... but they only should be fixing stuff that's their fault, not yours (or a previous owners). The good news is it's 99% likely they won't even think about the cause and they'll just fix under warranty anyway.
