The Uniden BCT-7 is a 100-channel Mobile/Base Highway information system with a Highway Patrol Alert feature that alerts you when you are within 3 miles of a highway patrol unit using a mobile extender. It offers 12-band coverage with Private Channels that let you automatically scan pre-programmed private channels with the touch of a button. It includes DOT and News Scan, Fire and Emergency Scan and Marine channels.

This is a great unit and it is in mint condition, no scratches no nothing. Comes with car adapter, car wire antenna, car mounting hardware. Also comes with home telescoping antenna, home ac/dc adapter and as a bonus I am including a very loud external speaker at no extra charge.

This unit actually saved my behind on many occasions but I have to get rid of it in order to afford my exhaust This unit has all preporgramed frequencies for police, fire, news, etc so you don't need to go diging online for police frequencies in your area, even picks up radio stations hehe. It has a neat feature for highway patrol where it will give an audible and visual warning when a highway patrol officer has a mobile repeater (walkie talkie) in his car. This works fairly well to about 1-1.5 miles.

I am letting this unit go for $83 shipped to the 48 states so this excludes Alaska and Hawaii. This is a great price and is less than what it goes for on ebay.

How do you hook up the antenna(s) on that deal? Is it like hooking up a CB?

for incar operation there is a wire antenna with suction cups, just stick them onto your windshield, its barely noticable. for home use there is a small 1 foot antenna that attaches to the back of the unit.

Great deal, and a great gadget. Have one for my car and I love it. $87 dollars shipped is a crazy price! I paid around $110 shipped for mine off ebay a couple months back.
