I try to search and could not find any tricks... I just got 2008 GS350 AWD with sirius radio. For whatever reason if song title is too long it does not fit into display. Does anyone knows a way to change font or do something to make it fit? Thx.
It's not configurable. Limit is with the display module installed with Sirius tuner. Vaistech says they have a kit that maintains control via the steering wheel and head unit as delivered by dealer but expands the display to 16 characters. plus you get a passive ipod adapter and with some models ipod control via the head unit. I haven't tried this but it is an option. There are user forums over at vias similar to this where you can get a lot of info.
This will turn off your seat belt warning "beeping" for the driver and passenger side. This will only need to be done once in the lifetime of the car as it will retain in the vehicle memory.
*** According to Valet Park , you must have windows up... ***
1) Get into the car w/ ignition off and close the doors
2) Open the "flip console" to your left (mirror / gas lid console)
3) Start engine and set the LCD on the combination meter to the "ODO" display using the ODO/TRIP button. Turn off engine.
4) Now, W/O applying the brakes (don't actually start engine but turn on the electronics.), press the "Engine Start/Stop" button twice. You should see the check engine light and battery light on in the dash. (DO NOT START THE ENGINE)
5) Hold the ODO/TRIP button. Wait ten seconds, and while still holding the button, buckle the driver’s seat belt.
6) The LCD displays "Seat Belt Buzzer On/Off". Release the button. Pressing the ODO button toggles the On/Off
7) I believe you may need to repeat the process for the passenger side.

Drive safe!
Can't be done on an '06 GS300, sez dlr after I failed.
These 20 step things get really frustrating. They used to have things like it posted for my old car and I could never get them to woek the right way either. good luck amn
I notice the seat belt buzzer turns back on after you disconnect the battery. I found that out after the dealer service and the seat belt buzzer was back on.

The same happened with mine. I took it in for the recall on the gas pipe and the buzzer was defaulted back to "on".
the seat belt buzzer thing does work on 06 GS430s. I also put in the Vaistech Sirius with Pasive Ipod. it does have Sat1 and Sat2. each of these are fully integrated in the screen, steering wheel. they each have 6 presets and the info shows up. I dont recall how many characters, but it does cut off the names about half way across the screen. Sat 3 is for the pasive mp3 input. all this is is an RCA input. you can plug in an mp3 or ipod, etc, but you can only control volume from the unit or steering wheel. (you must use mp3 player to change songs, etc). It works well since i mostly listen to sirius.
Hello,

Unless You have dark tints like me, no seat belt in Florida is a quick ticket. Cops really look for that here. Though i did try it and it did work lol.
