Default Absolutely, positively, guaranteed NO manual AWD or IS350 in 2007

This is information conveyed to me by the order rep. at my dealership. He said that they were in NJ last week looking at the new ES and had a 1.5 hour question session and those questions were asked relating to the IS. They said there will be NO manual transmission in the IS250 AWD or IS 350 and there will be no changes in 2007.

He did say they are just starting to think about an AWD IS 350, but nothing is set.

Hope that helps.

I don't think anyone is surprised by this. Except those waiting for a 350 MT...haha.

Well, I'm glad I decided to take the plunge and go with the AT.

As Timbo said, is anyone suprised by this? Glad to see there are no changes though, as my car will be "new" for at least one more year

I guess the only thing that will bring the 350 MT is the coupe, and still no word on that yet...

Wasn't NY the last major show? Wouldn't Lexus introduce it there? I imagine at this point it's getting late for a new model to show up, right?

I wouldn't hold my hopes up for a coupe this Fall.

I wouldn't either. Maybe at the Los Angeles show in November for a spring release?

Not surprised either... Any mention of AWD for the IS350? I don't need it personally but I know there are a lot of folks who need an AWD vehicle that would much rather have a IS350 instead of a 250 or even going to a G35x

Not really. Pics of the new 3-Series coupe are just popping up, and it hasn't been shown at any car show yet. Maybe Lexus will have the IS coupe "pop up" as well to take some of BMW's heat...

It could, but BMW's coupe is well expected, and isn't a new model. It's just a redesign. I think Lexus would need to make some buzz about it.

I am not surprised by this. My dealer kept telling me that they do not expect any changes for the 2007 model and then in 2008 you will probably see a convertible and a coupe

I have a feelling they will change the blinkers. It always seems they are orange the first year. Then they go to the silver/white color. They might make those LED too.. I wish mine were.
