What do you mean by the stock towhitch? My rig came w/ a drawtite towbar bolted to the bottom of the frame. The OEM hitch is behind the plastic cover on the bumper. One supposed to buy the receiver and bolt it to the frame w/ 4 bolts, but it also means you'll have it stick out all the time. The Kaymar towbar has an integrated towbar as part of the bumper (see the second pic) as well as tow eyelets. My drawtite towbar is in the garage, unused. I had to custom fab a harness for the bumper lights since the 03 LX doesn't have the magical 6-pin trailer connector in the right rear corner. I think the 98-99 LX's have them. The Kaymar bar comes w/ a harness for the lights. It's designed to plug right into this 6 pin connector. Mine has a 8-pin connector exiting the left rear corner. Since it's AFTER the tow relay box, the turning signals and brake signals are combined, so I had to splice in a converter box to undo those. What I ended up doing was removing the OEM trailer harness at the connector (it won't fit w/ the kaymar bar, so you need to remove the entire socket & bracket), cut off the connector, then soldered on the bare-wire end of the Kaymar harness plus the 2-3 tail light converter. The converter box is attached to the inside of the bumper w/ double-sided tape. So the kaymar tail lights really just plug into the 8 pin socket instead of the trailer harness. BTW, the OEM trailer harness will not work w/ the kaymar bar at all...you have to scrap it! The wire is too short to reach the plug, at least on my vehicle, plus the 8-pin plug is too large to fit in the space between the top of the bumper's towbar and frame (only about 1/2" clearance).

Where did you find a replacement that fit the same bolt holes? I also notice you have the older-style hard plastic pivot cover on the left but the new, soft (unpaintable) one on the right. I was told they were the rigid plastic ones and ordered two, but got the unpaintable ones, so I returned them and painted the pivots directly. It looks like you had a right side tire carrier at one point. Is that the reason for the reverse lights in the bumper?

The reversing lights just light up my driveway better at night when I park my car (and I think they look better too) got them at my local parts shop. I do have a spare wheel carrier on the right but I only use it when I go off road (no need for extra weight).

chrome handles come standard over there. Joe, did one of those 100s have a fender replaced? it looks to me like it is the factory primer color. plus what's up with the clear rear windows on the right one but tinted door windows? I really want that bumer now.
