Default Power seat broken

Well i did a search and came up empty handed. My passenger seat is having some issues. When you push the button to make the seat slide back only one side moves back and the other just chills there and dosn't move. So basically i have a pivoting seat? WONDERFUL!

If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know the approx cost so i can decide if i just want to go the racing seat route or not. Thanks in advance!

maybe a broken rod or tired motors or something stuck in the track (pennies do a great job)

but its cheaper to replace the whole seat by buying one used

there are a pair of tan ones on ebay look at those
you can keep your original leather by transferrign the cushions from one seat to another I believe

a new seat? to repair the broken one? on my ex's Maxima it was 1000 to fix the seat and 4 grand for a new one hehehe

We should put this in FAQ, seems like a lot of people have had this problem w/ the seat, almost costed me over 1000. Most likely it is the same problem, a screw (plastic) has come out and the gears are not engaging properly on one of the sides, one of my biggest nightmares, but fixed by doing nothing once I figured it out.

Yep, listen to Phoenix. Thats what happened to me too. Look for a dime sized yellowish or whitish screw on the ground under your seat.
You will have to take your seat out because you arent familiar with whats wrong. Like if that happened to me again Id probably be able to do it without taking seat out. Its just as simple as screwing screw back in.

Default seat motor

It may be that your motor is busted. I've got an extra sc power seat motor for sale if anyone is interested!
