Exclamation 4th Annual Taming the Dragon Lexus Meet, May27 - 29(pg 4 back home!)

Memorial Day Weekend - May 27 - 29, 2005 come to the Fourth Annual "Lexus Taming the Dragon" Meet

See www.lexusdragon.com for more details on the meet. We normally have this meet in the fall, but shifted it to spring to avoid conflict with the big east coast Lexus meet in the DC area in August.

Deal's Gap is right on the NC/TN Border, big groups are coming from Atlanta and Charlotte (among others). This road (called "Tail of the Dragon") is amazing, with 318 curves in 11 miles.

Here's a small taste of the Dragon's Tail:

We have a website set up for more info on the meet that is being continually updated with details and sponsor information.

Check out www.lexusdragon.com for more information on the meet and to RSVP if you're going to come!

You can actually register yourself online. Just go to http://www.lexusdragon.com/confirmed_attendees.aspx and click on the link at the end of this sentence that is on the top of that page - "Confirm your attendance by submitting your car details here".

10 cars already signed up! I might have to up the number of hotel rooms we blocked (16). Make your reservations soon, this is a holiday weekend!

Hameed or I have to 'approve' your registration info and pictures, so after you enter it if you don't see your stuff right away that's normal.

i was there with my Ford Contour GL about 2 years ago, and about 30 other contour GL, SE and SVT owners. those cars eeem like they were made to tear up the curves

however, i dont think my lex would be very keen, what with bad struts and all...maybe next year.

Dave, I see people have signed up their levels. What about something for Dragon experience as well? To show how many times someone has went.

I'm manually adjusting the levels a bit based on that. when I approve signup... Maybe we'll start giving out little dragon stickers to put on the windshields for each visit, like military airplanes have for shooting down an opponent

Now that is pretty clever. What would be cool is if someone could make the word LEXUS into a dragon but still make it small enough that it wasn't obtrusive.

I have no idea why it is some of us seem cursed............................BUT I just got news that HIN ATLANTA has been moved to May 28th. I repeat; Someone in their infinite wisdom has now decided to move HIN- Atlanta to 5/28. Unfortunately for me, that means I'm stuck going to HIN due to sponsor requirements. I'm so mad right now I don't know what else to say.

http://www.hotimportnights.com/calendar.asp

BTW, for the Atlanta folks: they also moved the venue BACK to where it was last year. There was a big to do about where it was last year compared to real civic center, so they were scheduled to have it AT the real civic center this year........WELL, not anymore....
