Needles In Haystacks
These days, finding a cheap used car that isn't on its last legs isn't exactly easy to do, given the soaring values the market has experienced over the past few years. As a result, even high-mile used vehicles in less than stellar condition are selling for big money. However, there are a few solid buys in the used Lexus market, specifically, that are worth taking a closer look at.

1998 Lexus GS
First up, we have the 1998 Lexus GS, which has a Kelley Blue Book average fair market value of $3,500, which is pennies for pretty much any kind of vehicle these days. Like most Lexus models, it's also quite reliable, meaning that even with more miles on the clock, it's likely to have plenty of life left - so long as the previous owner took care of it.

1995 Lexus LS
The 1995 Lexus LS can also be found for around $3,400 in decent shape, which makes it quite the bargain for a flagship, V8-powered sedan that originally sold for over $50,000. With depreciation bottoming it out at this point, now is a great time to score a used LS from this generation.

1996 Lexus ES
The same goes for the ES from the mid-1990s, as these are great-looking and reliable vehicles that are well-equipped that can be found for a mere $3,000, which is an amazing deal in today's market.

1999 Lexus RX
Of course, a lot of folks prefer crossovers and SUVs these days over sedans, and luckily for them, the 1999 Lexus RX can still be found for less than $3,000 in many cases. The RX300 was quite revolutionary when it originally launched and is still around today, even topping its segment in terms of sales.

1992 Lexus LS
For those willing to look a bit further back, the 1992 Lexus LS has plenty to offer in terms of bang for the buck with a fair market value of just around $2,600. It's virtually impossible to find a vehicle as reliable and feature-laden as this for that kind of money, no matter what badge lies on the outside.

1993 Lexus ES
Finally, we have the 1993 Lexus ES, which can also be found for a little more than $2,000 and yet, has that classic, cool '90s luxury sedan look that we can still appreciate. It's also a pretty reliable and comfy model that will likely have quite a few years left to offer if you can find a well-maintained one out there.
