We love the Lexus LC 500. It is a stunningly beautiful piece of V8-powered artwork for the road. It is one of the best GT cars on sale today at any price point. The recently announced 2022 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series advances the car to another level. It comes packed with exclusive features and is rarer than the LFA. The Inspiration Series is not new for Lexus so you may already be aware of what this package is all about. The package is not designed to turn your sports coupe into a track day monster. The package instead is all about adding additional style and grace to a car that already has a lot of both. It also introduces some technology that is a world first for Lexus.
The Inspiration Series is available on both the coupe and convertible versions of the LC 500. The package uses the LC 500 with the Touring Package as the base and builds from there. The interior color combination is only available on the Inspiration Series. And it is styled to promote not just driving enjoyment, but also a sense of calm. Lexus could have perhaps called this the “Anti-Road Rage” package instead.
Interior Touches
So, let’s talk about that interior and what makes it special. The color scheme inside is a stunning mix of black and dark rose. The scuff plates are stainless steel and there is a serialized badge on the center console. This will tell you which of the 150 examples you are lucky enough to be driving. “Semi-Aniline leather-trimmed comfort (coupe) and sport (convertible) seats are beautifully contrasted with Dark Rose stitching, perforation and Dark Rose front seat belts. Exterior Design
You can have a 2022 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series in any color you want as long as it is Iridium Silver. On the convertible it is paired with a Dark Rose fabric top. There are touches of black finishes on the grille, headlamp, taillamp and rocker. On the coupe you also receive a rear air wing spoiler. The car also comes equipped with a set of Lexus-first 3D machined 21-inch wheels. The overall look is subtle but stunning.
Rarity
The 2022 LC 500 Inspiration Series is limited to 150 units. How rare is that? Well, the uber-rare, you-never-see-it, LFA super car has 500 examples roaming this earth for our enjoyment. The LC 500 Inspiration Series coupe starts at $104,500. The convertible will set you back $115,580. That represents a premium of about $7,300 over a LC 500 coupe with Touring Package, and about $5,000 over a similarly equipped convertible.
