2024 Lexus IS and RC Receive a Few Updates for the New Model Year
Both the 2024 Lexus IS and RC have received a few updates for the new model year as both soldier on with increasingly shrinking competition.
These days, with passenger cars – both in sedan and coupe form – of any kind seemingly disappearing at a painfully slow rate, Lexus continues to soldier on with several of them in its lineup. Of course, crossovers and SUVs have taken prescience, which means that both the Lexus RC and IS continue to soldier on mostly unchanged, year to year, with only minor enhancements designed to keep each one current and relevant. That’s also the case with the 2024 Lexus IS and RC, both of which have been treated to a few updates for the new model year, though they’re ones that prospective customers will want to be aware of.
The 2024 Lexus RC – which is roughly a decade old at this point – has received the newly available Cloudburst Gray as an exterior color option for the new model year, while F Sport customers get a new 19-inch Enkei wheel design that’s quite attractive. The high-performance, more focused RC F Track Edition adds three new colors to its available palette as well – Ultra White, Caviar, and Cloudburst Gray. 2024 will also be the final model year of the Track Edition.
Tech-wise, all 2024 Lexus RC and RC F models now come with Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 as standard equipment, which adds a bevy of driver-assist features including Pre-Collision with Pedestrian Detection, Low-light Pedestrian & Daytime Bicyclist Detection, Left Turn Vehicle Intersection Support, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Intelligent High Beams, Enhanced All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Enhanced Lane Tracing Assist, and Road Sign Assist.

As for the 2024 Lexus IS, that sedan has also been treated to minor changes, most notably, the addition of IS 300 F Sport and F Sport Design trims, the latter of which solely an appearance package for both rear- and all-wheel-drive applications with unique wheels and badging. The full-fledged IS 300 F Sport adds those goodies, along with unique seats, an F Sport steering wheel, and aluminum pedal caps, plus the option of a unique paint color dubbed Grecian Water.
Meanwhile, the IS 350 gets Incognito as a new exterior color option, while those that spec the Handling Package can also opt for a new offering called the Blackout Package. Ticking this box nets buyers’ black 19-inch BBS forged alloy wheels, dark chrome window trim, black side mirror caps, and the Lexus Memory Package.
As for the V8-powered IS 500 F Sport Performance, it now comes standard with black mirror caps and dark chrome trim, while Incognito paint has been added as an option. And if you want the rarest IS of 2024, grab a 1-of-150 Special Appearance Package IS 500, which includes Blue Vector exterior paint and 19-inch Matte Black BBS forged alloy wheels. (Last year’s Special Appearance Package model was in Molten Pearl).
Both the 2024 Lexus RC and IS will be arriving at dealers by the end of the year, meaning that customers won’t have to wait much longer to see all of these updates in person.
