Confirmed: 2025 Toyota Camry Debuting Next Week with Crown SUV!
The 2025 Toyota Camry is set to debut November 14 at 10 pm Eastern and may come standard as a hybrid all-wheel-drive like the Crown.
One day after confirming that a Crown SUV was coming to North America, Toyota USA has officially announced that a next-generation 2025 Toyota Camry will also debut on November 14 alongside the Crown SUV. ClubLexus has been invited to attend the reveal event, which will begin at 10 pm Eastern / 7 pm Pacific next Tuesday ahead of the 2023 L.A. Auto Show.
We’ll make sure to have Toyota’s event videos embedded on this site as well as in THIS THREAD in our forums as we get closer to the dual-vehicle unveiling. But we’ll also have fresh articles as well as some first-look walkarounds that evening. So please stay tuned for all of the fun and coverage.
Until then, here’s the new teaser image and press release Toyota USA dropped today on the Camry front —
Toyota Camry Raises to New Heights with No Compromises
The next-generation Toyota Camry will make its debut on November 14th at 10 p.m. ET. Stay tuned for more.
What Do We Expect From a 2025 Camry?
The first-generation Toyota Camry debuted in America for the 1983 model year. 2024 will mark the final year of the eighth-generation Camry, which features something like 13 different models with three different engine options —
- a naturally aspirated 2.5L 4-cylinder engine making 203 to 206 horsepower
- a naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 making 301 horsepower
- a 208 horsepower 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with a hybrid system
For 2025, given today’s teaser, we’re speculating that the next-gen Camry is ditching both naturally aspirated engine options in favor of a base model that starts with the 2.5L hybrid system (similar to the RAV 4 Hybrid). But it’s possible this is just Toyota’s lovely marketing department playing a cat-n-mouse game with journalists and enthusiasts and it’s going to keep the base 4-cylinder. It’s also unclear as to whether or not the new Camry will have AWD as an option, or if it will be standard like the Crown and forthcoming Crown SUV.
Also, just speculating here, but does “raises to new heights” imply that this Camry is going to share more components, perhaps the Hybrid MAX powertrain, with the Crown, which is a “lifted sedan?”
We do expect there to be another stylish and sporty TRD package, based on that first teaser image at the very top where you can see a more aggressive front splitter reflecting on the passenger side. Speaking of which, we can clearly see that Toyota is continuing to evolve its C-shaped (or claw-shaped) daytime running lights that it offers with the Crown and new Prius, so it should be another sharp-looking sedan.
We’ll be back next week with all the details!
