5 Things Lexus NEEDS for Next-Gen F Models: (Fridays are for F Presented by Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus)
5. No SUVs…Unless
We are hesitant to include an F-monikered SUV. Nothing against SUV and crossovers. But, with added weight and higher centers of gravity, it’s hard to call them genuine performance vehicles. But let’s also be realistic. It’s also 2021 and things have changed dramatically since the turn of the century when sedans and coupes were better sellers. The SUV is, like it or not, king.
With offerings like the Audi RS8, Lamborghini Urus, BMW X5, Mercedes-AMG GLS63 S, and even the Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition, there are a bunch of kickass SUVs on the market. Made to haul families. Made to haul ass. And Lexus, for all their comfort and off-roading capability, doesn’t have a sporty SUV. In short, if Lexus has the guts to build a Lexus F SUV, we will be open-minded enough to cheer them on. Even if sports cars and SUVs aren’t traditionally analogous.
