The LC 500 Convertible is effectively a roadster with four seats. In my testing, I was able to fit either two adults in the front or one adult and a child in the passenger rear. You could maybe fit two smaller people on the passenger side — maybe — but it’s very cramped. The trunk is almost unusable save for carry-on-sized luggage or a few bags of groceries. And while there is one cup holder and the center console opens up to store a phone, neither placement nor access is particularly ergonomic. Luckily, the passenger has access to a little phone-sized pouch along the transmission tunnel, but the driver isn’t as fortunate.

3. Drop-Top Connection to the Road
There’s nothing like a convertible to make you enjoy the driving experience. The sights and sounds. The blowing wind and gurgling exhaust. The whole LC experience transforms when you lower its convertible top. Not only do you unlock panoramic sightlines, but you also feel so much more connected to the road and your whole driving experience. Senses heighten. Adrenaline rises. And all that’s left is to enjoy the world around you in your beautiful car.
