Lexus Ownership Benefits

Lexus ownership benefits include enhanced warranties, maintenance, roadside assistance, connected services, discounts, and even VIP parking.

Earlier this year, Lexus and Toyota flew me to the company’s Plano, Texas headquarters — covering coach air fair, hotel, and meals — to attend a couple of presentations and for a quick opportunity to drive some of the company’s 2024 models. (More on this soon.) During the Lexus presentation, representatives spoke about The Lexus Covenant. Aka the company’s goal to create the finest luxury dealership experience — researching, buying/leasing, maintaining, and beyond. And that’s when I realized there were several Lexus ownership benefits — some new, some around for years — that even seasoned auto journalists and many Lexus enthusiasts know absolutely nothing about.

Here’s what I learned that you might find helpful.

Monogram & The Lexus Guest Experience

Monogram by Lexus

Way back at the beginning, circa 1989, Lexus executives wrote The Lexus Covenant, which reads:

Lexus competes in the luxury automotive industry, the most prestigious race in the world. Lexus’ history and experience has culminated in the creation of our automobiles, the finest ever built.
Lexus will win the race because:
Lexus will do it right from the start.
Lexus will have the finest dealer network in the industry.
Lexus will treat each customer as we would a guest in our home.

If you think you can’t, you won’t.
If you think you can, you will.
We can, we will.

In short, as it was explained to me, Lexus still wants to do nothing short of creating “the finest dealership network ever built.” The Lexus Guest Experience, company reps say, follows the Japanese “mindset of hospitality” — Omotenashi — that means  to “wholeheartedly look after guests.” And it appears to be working, as Lexus took home two JD Power Awards last year for having “the highest dealership new car buying experience rating” and “the highest customer satisfaction rating based on service for maintenance or repair work.”

Another interesting fact is that Lexus customers are getting younger, on average, which means Lexus is pivoting toward a more digital experience that’s part of the buying process. Back in 2021, the automaker created Monogram, a completely digital way to pick a new Lexus, search current inventories, figure out payment options, and get a valuation on your trade-in. You can either go into the dealership to do stuff like test drives and pick up your new purchase. Or do it all from the convenience of your work or home where you can get your new ride delivered.

It’s worth noting that not all Lexus dealerships are part of the Monogram network. But you can see which ones are based on the logo when searching Lexus inventory. I should also disclose that I haven’t tried to use the Monogram service personally, so I can’t say whether or not it’s a better way to buy a new vehicle.

LexusCare

LexusCare

LexusCare is an amalgamation of different services for new and L/Certified Lexus customers, long-time Lexus owners, and even those who are considering buying or leasing a new Lexus. Or as Lexus calls it, “a complete suite of standard services and benefits.” There’s a lot to go over, but here’s the quick version of each as I understand them.

Complimentary Service. If you buy a new Lexus, the first two maintenance services are included. If you buy an L/Certified Lexus, four maintenance visits are included.

Service Connect. At this time, Lexus is including a “10-year trial” of the Service Connect feature that’s built into the Lexus app for all 2024 and 2025 model years. Service Connect allows you to monitor the health of your Lexus remotely, including things like oil life and fuel level.

Warranty. Where many brands offer a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, Lexus offers a 4-year/50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. The Lexus powertrain warranty covers 6 years or 70,000 miles. The hybrid system warranty is 8 years or 100,000 miles. And the hybrid BATTERY warranty is 10 years or 150,000 miles.

Roadside Assistance. In addition to the crazy warranty, Lexus offers a standard 4-year/unlimited mile Roadside Assistance with every new vehicle purchase. And, if you opt to use the Lexus Safety Connect service on the app (which also has a 10-year trial period), this upgrades you to “Enhanced Roadside Assistance” for 10 years / unlimited miles. Wow. Safety Connect can also track your vehicle if it’s stolen and alert emergency responders if you’re in an accident.

Even More Lexus Ownership Benefits

Destinations by Lexus

Entertainment Discounts & Retail Discounts. Click those links to the left to see the specifics, but basically a handful of online retailers and concert venues offer discount pricing for Lexus owners. It’s a fun idea, but there’s not much of a selection just yet.

VIP Parking Lots. A super fun idea. Click that link to the left to see the full list, but if you go to giant arenas like Madison Square Garden in New York, Angels Stadium in California, American Airlines Center in Texas, and United Center in Chicago, there are special VIP lots for Lexus owners where you’ll either park for free, at a discount, or in a preferred lot. And the crazy part, ANY Lexus can go, no matter how old or the mileage.

Destinations By Lexus. Another fabulous idea. Lexus has partnered with almost 20 higher-end resorts to create Destinations By Lexus. Click the link above to see the full list, of course. But if you stay at one of these resorts and you own a Lexus, you’ll get a discount on your stay. However, regardless of whether or not you currently own a Lexus, Destinations By Lexus partners also offer complimentary Lexus vehicle rentals to all guests. All the latest and greatest models for you to test and try out to see if you might want to purchase or lease a new Lexus.
