The Lexus CT 200h hasn’t been flying off lots. Perhaps speed, or lack thereof, is the issue. The car is slow. It takes more than 10 seconds for the CT 200h to reach 60 miles per hour. That acceleration is almost as depressing as the appreciation rate of a standard interest-bearing savings account.

Now that Lexus has officially revealed its new “RC car”, future variants are being imagined in the form of artist renderings. This Lexus RC 350’s roof has been photo-chopped by Theophilus Chin, automotive manipulator extraordinaire. If this topless RC is in the cards, expect to see the coupe get a 3.5-liter V6 with 306 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque.

You probably already know this, but I’ll write it again because I know you want to read it again: the Lexus GS 350 F SPORT is king of the luxury sport sedan segment according to Motor Trend.

According to Consumer Reports the 2014 Lexus IS 250, a luxury/sport sedan, “is neither sporty nor luxurious.” The publication says the car “scored too low to be recommended,” falling behind the BMW 328i, Mercedes-Benz C250, Lincoln MKZ 2.0 EcoBoost and Volvo S60 T5.

Lexus tells us the 2014 IS 350 F SPORT AWD can go from 0-60 in 5.7 seconds and top out at 131 mph, but what’s its 1/4-mile performance like on the mile-high Bandimere Speedway drag strip? The IS 350 was taken on three runs using different driving modes each time. Here are the results:
