AWE S-FLO Carbon Intake Suite open installed

The AWE S-FLO Carbon Intake Suite bumps power levels by 15 hp and 21 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels!

Love Carbon Fiber? Love your 2020 GR Supra? Want to make a little more power? Check out the new AWE S-FLO Carbon Intake Suite. AWE claims its washable, dry S-FLO Filter increases flow with its 71% increase in filter surface area and a 4.5” filter outlet. In AWE’s testing, which included a Stage 1 tune and an AWE exhaust, the S-FLO intake bumped power by 15 hp and 21 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels on their dyno.

[Full disclosure: AWE is a vendor on other automotive enthusiast sites owned by ClubLexus’ parent company. But this is not a sponsored post.]

Here’s what the S-FLO sounds like installed:

As part of the suite, AWE offers the open-air carbon fiber intake separately from an optional carbon fiber lid. In either configuration, the suite maintains the stock mountain locations and comes with AWE’s “No Check Engine Light Guarantee.” Unfortunately, the new intake suite is not CARB compliant (sorry, California). And, as we write this, there’s a note on AWE’s site specifying that this intake is only for 2020 GR Supras, so hold off if you own the 2021 iteration.

There was no mention of power differences between the open-air setup and opting for the lid. But speaking from personal experience, I’d personally add the optional carbon fiber lid. You might sacrifice a bit of intake sound and turbo goodness, but open-air elements are more susceptible to higher IATs at slower speeds and in traffic.
