The Best Used Lexus for (Almost) Every Budget in 2023
Are you in the market for the best used Lexus, but not sure what your money will get you? Our buyer’s guide can help.
A used Lexus might be one of the wisest automotive purchases you can make. They’re more affordable than new and have a renowned history for reliability and quality. But how do you pick the best used Lexus for your particular budget? This buyer’s guide, of course! We scoured for sale listings to find some of the tastiest choices for every budget. We start at under $10K and increase our budget by $10K increments until we hit $70K. Above that amount, you can buy almost any Lexus you want.
Our Lexus Buyers Guide focuses on the most desirable and most available for a given budget. We did not include unicorns. For example, if there was one LS 500 for sale in the country for less than $10K we did not include it. It is too much of an outlier. We looked for vehicles that were generally available at the given price point. We also focused on clean title cars. Some may have high miles but no accidents, salvage titles. Everything you see listed can be bought without rolling the dice on a flood damaged example and hoping you can bring it back to life. Of course, that is always an option for you, if you want to go that route. But that was not our focus here. There are a lot of quality Lexus vehicles to choose from so let’s get started.
Lexus for Under $10K
This is obviously not a large car-buying budget in 2023. Especially for a luxury brand. However, you may be surprised at just how many good Lexus vehicles you can find for less than $10K. Sure, they will have high miles, and be a bit older. But there is plenty of life left in these. A lot of bang for the buck in this category.
2004 – 2009 Lexus RX
For this money, you can get a second-generation Lexus RX. It is the best-selling Lexus model in the lineup. As such, there are plenty of examples out there. The examples you will find in this budget will have 150K to 200K miles on the clock. But the fact that there are still so many of these on the road with this many miles should show you just how reliable these are. There is no reason to expect anything less than 300,000 miles out of one of these.
2006 – 2010 Lexus IS 250
Are you not a crossover/SUV person? No problem. There are plenty of early second-generation IS 250 models out there. We even found a smattering of IS 250C cars if you dig convertibles. The regular sedans that you will find are available in either AWD or RWD. There are plenty out there so you can be picky with colors and options. This is a chance to grab a nice Lexus sedan for less than 10 grand.
