2007 Lexus SC430

Do you crave a V8-powered, hardtop convertible that can transport four people in style? This 2007 Lexus SC 430 could be the answer.

Fact number one. We all love the new Lexus LC Convertible. Fact number two. The new Lexus LC Convertible is priced out of reach for most of us. Bummer. But what if you still crave a V8-powered, Lexus convertible with rear wheel drive? You might want to consider this stunning 2007 Lexus SC 430 that you can put in your garage for about 80 percent less than what the new car would cost you. That sounds like an intriguing bargain to us.

This particular 2007 Lexus SC 430 has a couple things going for it beyond the regular appeal of the SC 430. First, it has a low 38,000 miles showing on the odometer. Second, it is painted in Indigo Ink. That is a lovely shade of blue that is set off by the Liquid Graphite-finished 18-inch wheels. You don’t see many of these on the road anymore, especially in colors besides white and black. So, this car will make a big statement with relatively little money. You can bid on it now over on Bring a Trailer.

SC 430

Lexus SC430

The 2007 Lexus SC 430 that is offered here is part of the second generation. This car is powered by a 4.3L V8 engine that cranked out 288 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque when new. This is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission. It is enough to propel the car from 0 to 60 mph in around six and a half seconds. Not mind numbing fast, but certainly quick enough to be entertaining. With only 38,000 miles on the clock, this Lexus is still barley broken in. The new owner (it could be you!) should be able to expect many years of trouble-free top-down motoring.

Four-Seater

Overhead

Yeah, technically this SC 430 can carry four people. But in much the same way that a Porsche 911 can carry four people. The people in back better be small children or adults that you really don’t like very much. There is not much room back there, but it is usable space for extra storage. That extra storage could come in handy because this is a car that you could easy take on an extended road trip.

New Car, Low Price

Interior

The pictures of this car indicate that this 2007 Lexus SC 430 still looks brand new. Wear and tear seem to be at a minimum. And back in 2007 this car would have set you back about $70,000. That is nearly $100,000 in 2022 dollars. Yet, you should be able to bring this car home for much less. As of this writing there are four days left on the auction and the top bid is less than $17,000. Even if it ends up going for $25K that is still a pretty good deal. Especially when you consider the bonkers car market we live in right now.

Future Classic

V8 engine

The Lexus SC 430 was never really loved when it came out. It was a good car indeed. But the styling left some people cold. But as with many cars that were not overly popular when new, the SC 430 is seeing a bit of a resurgence. Prices are starting to firm up. It would not surprise us if in five years whatever this SC 430 sells for today looks like a steal. A V8-powered, rear-drive, sporty convertible is something that seems doomed to be extinct in the next few years. That may have folks clamoring to grab an SC 430. Get ahead of the curve and grab this one now.
