Boisterous LFA Owner Crashes Car While Showing Off In Singapore

LFA crash

Light pole: 1. LFA: 0.

Lessons in life are best learned when you can gain knowledge from someone else’s experience. In this lesson, which comes courtesy of Singapore’s The Straights Times, it’s shown exactly why you do not try to show off in your LFA on a busy street.

From the video above, it’s evident that a quick stab of the throttle is what spurred the next succession of events. First the car’s back-end stepped out to the right. In an attempt to straighten out the car to avoid hitting a bus on the left, the driver over-corrected, and now was aiming right for the high black and white concrete curbing on the driver’s right. Regardless, during the attempt to turn the car to the left, the right rear tire makes contact with that curb, launching the back-end about a foot up in the air. Now the LFA is in the air and still rotating to the left.

The video ends with the LFA careening off to the left, narrowly missing the bus.

“Ugly” is the best way to describe the aftermath.

Coming to rest in front of a church, the LFA has some significant portions of body now askew, or completely missing. Most of the rear end damage was likely due to the light pole which actually may have stopped it from hitting the church building. Thankfully, no one was reported to be hurt in the crash.

How much is this going to cost to repair? Well, that may be the least of the driver’s worries right now. Police investigations are said to be still ongoing, so this bruise to the ego might be a bruise to the wallet as well.

So, have we learned a lesson here? We think so. After all, driving your car all the way home is really underrated.
