‘Club Lexus’ Member Celebrates 17 Years by Showing Off Sweet SC

Lexus SC

Beautiful triple-black Lexus SC has stuck around even longer than its owner has been a member of our forums.

It goes without saying, but we’ve got some pretty dedicated members here in the Club Lexus forums. Many of whom have been around for over a decade, routinely posting and contributing valuable content. One of those members, who goes by the user name O.L.T., just celebrated their 17-year anniversary here at Club Lexus, in fact. Even better, they’ve also owned this pretty stunning SC even longer than that. So, what better way to celebrate both long-term relationships than by showing the car off in this thread?

“Just hit my 17-year anniversary on Club Lexus. I’ve owned a lot of SCs, but my first one has been around for over 17 years. It’s Genesis, so it’s been my keepsake. For my 17-year anniversary, I’m showing off the Lexus that started it all. It’s a 1992 SC4 with a bazillion subtle mods you can pick out all around it.”

One of the cooler details about this particular Lexus is its paint job. As the OP points out, it’s rather unique.

“One of the things you can’t tell looking at the pics is the triple metallic black I had it painted when I put the ’97 kit on. I had the emblems smoked in matte black onyx, so they stand out in a different contrast.”

Surprisingly enough, the paint job was completed way back in 2005. But it really isn’t a surprise that it’s held up this long. After all, the car is clearly a love affair for its owner. But not even the most dedicated enthusiast can protect their car from the wrath of Mother Nature.

“The parts that weren’t damaged in ‘the incident’ where a tornado blew a shed into the car two weeks after it was painted have held up well. It looks as good as my wax can make it. No peeling or flaking, so they did a good job.”

An impressive Lexus and a great story, indeed. O.L.T. is clearly dedicated to the brand, and is well-deserving of all the praise he and his car have received so far. So be sure and head over here to give him a little congratulations, and check out all the pictures of his sweet SC!
