Club Lexus Member Scores Perfect LFA with Help from Forums

Lexus LFA

For most of us, owning a Lexus LFA is just a dream. But we can live vicariously through one lucky Club Lexus member.

For most of us, the Lexus LFA is quite literally the ultimate dream car. And there are a number of reasons why. From the LFA’s screaming V10 to its supercar looks, there’s no denying its greatness. And while most of us don’t have the means of even thinking about buying an LFA, we can certainly live vicariously through those who do. And that’s exactly what went down in the Club Lexus forums recently when member bkruse started a thread that began with him seeking some advice.

“I’ve been a long time lurker on the forum. I really appreciate the positive community here and the wealth of knowledge and willingness to help! The time has come to where I’m in a good spot to get an LFA. There are a handful on the market it seems, and I’m really looking for guidance around the pitfalls of purchasing one. Would a PPI at the local Lexus dealership be adequate enough? Any other recommendations to check before purchasing?”

Turns out, there is at least one member who’s already been through this process more than once.

“Get a professional PPI,” said Goldenboys. “This is my first LFA in the video. I hired someone to do a PPI for both LFAs I’ve purchased.”

For Sunline, there don’t appear to be many pitfalls with the Lexus LFA at all, however.

“Unlike most super cars, the LFA is essentially bullet proof. Unless the car has been tracked excessively, there should be no worries. Even if it has been it doesn’t matter. Most just sit, unfortunately!”

It isn’t long before the OP finds a potential gem. But at the same time, he also runs into a bit of a snag.

“Wanted to provide an update since everyone’s been so generous with their advice and time. I’m now under contract for this car – #88. Lexus of Naples was hesitant on the inspection. Instead of giving out the inspection information, they instead gave an ‘excellent condition’ email. What would you suggest I do here?”

Unsurprisingly, SSackey suggests that OP insist on proper paperwork.

“I would 100% demand to see a proper inspection report. To get just a basic e-mail is strange at the least. Especially if you paid for an inspection!”

Thankfully, that persistence paid off in the end.

“Lexus of Naples gave me the full inspection – 161 checkpoints and it looks fantastic! Bill of sale signed – I will update everyone with pics and thoughts when it arrives. Thank you everyone for being so helpful. I’m excited to join the Lexus and LFA family.”

Needless to say, things worked out fantastically in this case. All thanks to a little solid advice from the Club Lexus forums. So be sure and head over here to check out all the cool pictures of this amazing score. And drop a few congratulatory words while you’re there!
