Custom ‘Minority Report’ Lexus Could Be Yours

The future is coming down the pipe quickly these days, as you can now purchase the Lexus 2054 from Steven Spielberg’s 2002 film Minority Report.

Okay, so this Vetter Custom Dimensia eBay offering doesn’t come with a lot of the extras proposed in the sci-fi film — like biometric security, fuel cells, crash-proof structure, self driving, taking dinner orders, and DJing according to mood — but it sure looks the part. And now it can be yours for the buy it now price of $95,000.

That’s quite a bit of cake, even though the seller claims it has a 2.7 L V6 Porsche powered drive train (do they make those?) and “sounds crazy with the custom headers and exhaust system.” But at least he’s offering a one-year “warrantee” on the drive train and custom parts, of which there are many, including the ever-desirable suicide doors.

Interestingly enough, though you can certainly see the similarities between this car and the one Tom Cruise stole from the Lexus factory in the Minority Report clip below, the seller doesn’t even mention the film. And there’s no mention of any Lexus parts involved either.

If you’re still interested, check out the eBay listing, then hop on the forums and let us know what you think. And if you happen to own a C6 Corvette, the seller wants one for his next custom project, so he’s willing to accept a partial trade. Any guesses as to what he’ll build next?
