From Stock to Standout: Forum Member Updates His Lexus IS300 SportCross

Lexus IS300 SportCross

Canadian Lexus owner gives his ride a revamp to better handle the brutal bumps of Toronto’s streets.

We’re always excited to spend some time in the Club Lexus forums because you never know what you’re going to find — and we have found some pretty awesome things in there! For instance this week, one of our favorite forum finds is this awesome post from Club Lexus member “JediJeff,” who shares with us the glorious results of five years of procrastination. And the awesome photos that he includes of his Lexus IS300 SportCross prove that this is no Jedi mind trick — he really did improve on a Lexus! And the wait was worth it.

“After 5 years of ownership, we finally did a little work away from being stock,” says the Canada-based forum member. “Added H&R springs to existing stock setup from local WhatsApp sport cross Toronto group. Added dual hood struts from Asahi motorsports in Toronto. Found a set of 18″ 2is rims on Kijiji.”

“JediJeff” started his mods recently, first posting the details in April, and he’s already garnered some great feedback in the forums, including from “TrueGS300,” who offers up some sound feedback and pays props to the design aesthetic. “The wheel color goes great with the paint,’ he adds, and we wholeheartedly agree.

And when it comes to getting just the right look, “JediJeff” is willing to go through a little trial and error to nail the perfect update to his Lexus, later noting: “While I do love the look of the 18s I had on, I’ve gone back to the stock rims, I wanted a little more cushions on the OG set up at 215 45 17 in front and 225 45 17 in rears. Road “bumps” in Toronto are brutal!”
