Gymkhana on Ice Starring Lexus IS

We all know the hugely successful Gymkhana series that Mr. Kenneth Blockinghammer the 5th started, way back when. Since then, it’s spawned a few remakes, a few reboots, and a load of impersonators that attempt to take the world by storm, just as Ken’s series has. However, in all that time, the only one to get even close to the same audience level was Ken Box featuring Razor’s Krazy Kart.

However, that all might change with the video below.

Set somewhere where Cyrillic is the main language, this is “Gymkhana on Ice.” And if you’re picturing Disney Princesses, then you’ve got another thing coming to you.

Using a heavily modified Lexus IS with studded tires, and many, many zip ties, the guys that did this video are definitely fans of the original. This version somehow feels more organic than the later Gymkhana’s Ken Block put out. However, it’s that modded IS that definitely takes center stage.

Let’s just hope there’s more to come from these guys, and their IS. Although if I’m one of the ice fisherman who comes dangerously close to the drifting back tire of that Lexus, I’m asking for more money.
