How-To Tuesday: Personalizing Your Lexus Settings

There are a ton of ways to make your Lexus your own, but perhaps the easiest route is to adjust your settings.

Today’s How-To Tuesday article will help you figure out the best way to personalize your settings. The article specifically deals with Lexus IS 250 and IS 350 models between 2005 and 2014, but most of the information should apply to other models as well.

Back in the day, many of your car’s settings had to be adjusted at the dealer. But now we have an app for that! Carista is a mobile app that allows you to customize your settings, diagnose malfunctions, and ultimately prevent damage. Just download the app, and you’re well on your way to viewing your own personal options. But if you want to actually utilize those options, you’ll have to purchase the pro version. You’ll also need to purchase an OBD2 scan tool.

Once you’ve got that all worked out, simply plug in the scan tool underneath the steering wheel, right above the brake pedal. Then power up Carista, make sure your Bluetooth is connected, and personalize away. You can do everything from turning on your automatic door locking feature to turning on and off your daytime running lights. Whatever your personal tastes dictate, it’s up to you.
