Jude Law and Lexus Create a Confusing RX 360° Video

360° interactive videos are all the rage right now, and apparently Lexus wanted to get in on the action. That’s why they hired A-list celebrity Jude Law to host their immersive, and honestly, somewhat bizarre digital experience.

It takes high quality and engaging content to keep someone onboard for six whole minutes on YouTube, and much to my disappointment, this video looked like it was going to get really good at some point, but it didn’t.

Sure, the new Lexus RX350 F Sport in white and anthracite wheels looks stunning, and the 360°-you-direct-the-camera phenomenon is awesome, but in the end, there was nothing cool to look at. It was all a bunch of people getting shoved in and out of cars and then getting treated like celebrities. In fact, I’m sure Jude Law himself doesn’t even know what role he actually played.

Let’s all move forward with our lives now, and hope this is just the first experimental attempt on Lexus’s behalf to engage with its audience, and provide us with awesome products.

You get a high five for effort, Lexus!
