Kelley Blue Book Can’t Stop Praising Lexus

In our consumerist driven world, there’s probably nothing as important to a company as branding. There are few in the auto business who know the value of a reputable brand as much as Lexus, which is probably why the marque universally stands for such attributes as quality, luxury, and dependability.

But don’t take my word for it, take the time-honored word of Kelley Blue Book, which after sorting through mounds of consumer data, recently named Lexus their Best Overall Brand for 2016. Here’s their official words:

“Lexus has built its reputation on offering supreme luxury combined with incredible reliability, and it’s a combination that puts its brand at the top of all luxury brands. These days, Lexus is adding even more arrows to its quiver, with advanced infotainment systems, high-tech driver assistants and styling that turns heads in a way that Lexus cars and SUVs never have. It all comes together while maintaining the company’s focus on high quality and long-term value.”

KBB also named Lexus their Most Trusted Brand of 2016, based on the marque’s reputation for reliability and dependability:

“No other luxury brand has a record of reliability like Lexus. That commitment to dependability has helped define the brand since it launched as Toyota’s luxury division nearly three decades ago, and it continues today. In turn, that devotion has led to trust. When you buy a Lexus, you aren’t just buying a vehicle with plush amenities, a comfortable ride and stylish design — you’re stepping into a brand whose very name is synonymous with reliability.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time KBB has doled praises upon Lexus, as they’ve been fans of the marque for a while now. Just last year, they named Lexus the top luxury brand for projected resale value, and they picked the 2016 RX as the best luxury SUV buy of the year.

Interestingly enough, these days, when you’re talking about Lexus branding, the brass is making a serious push to make sure that another word comes to mind: performance. The upcoming LC 500 is certainly an example of that. So if Lexus can keep developing their branding as such, while still maintaining the stalwarts of quality, luxury, and dependability, well, who knows how many KBB Best Overall Brand awards are in the company’s future.
