LC 500 First Up in Lexus’s Lofty Pipeline
If you’ve been having a hard time keeping track of all the new and refreshed Lexus models coming down the pipe, join the club.
Fortunately, Automotive News has done a good job putting it all into perspective with their recent timeline analysis. Here’s a quick breakdown of what Lexus has coming down the pipeline for the next few years.
The most-anticipated Lexus is up first, with the 2017 LC 500 expected to arrive in dealerships later this year with horsepower and good looks to spare, and a starting price tag of about $100k.
Though the bread-and-butter RX just began a new generation, 2017 will still bring some changes to the model, primarily an optional third row. 2017 will also find Lexus hard at work redesigning the flagship LS for the 2018 model year.
For 2018, or possibly 2019, the popular NX (which began its first generation in 2015) will likely move to the Toyota New Global Architecture platform. And probably the next-gen CT too, as it hasn’t seen a refresh since 2014.
And for 2019, we can expect the IS, ES, and GS to all be redesigned as well.
So if you’re a Lexus fan, there’s plenty to look forward to in the coming years. And if you’re not, what exactly are you doing on this site?
