Lexus Aims to ‘Strike out’ Hunger and Reward One Lucky Fan
Multifaceted program will help feed Boston area folks in need.
Lexus is teaming up with NESN.com and The Greater Boston Food Bank in an effort to “Strike Out Hunger” in the Boston area. The multifaceted program consists of Lexus donations, a food drive at local dealerships, and a fan experience sweepstakes to help feed hundreds of needy residents. For the second straight year, the Strike Out Hunger sweepstakes and food drive runs through the month of June.
For starters, Lexus will donate $50 to The Greater Boston Food Bank for every strikeout thrown by a Boston Red Sox pitcher. According to NESN, that’s enough to feed 150 people a healthy meal. Lexus will run the program through all 162 games of the 2017 Major League Baseball regular season. Boston-area Lexus dealers are also holding a food drive through the end of June to benefit the food bank.
Fans that drop by a participating Lexus dealership can also enter the Strike Out Hunger Sweepstakes for a chance to win a VIP Experience at Fenway Park. The grand prize includes a private tour of the historic ballpark, plus a chance to meet the NESN announcers, watch the pre-game show, and check out batting practice from the field.
