Lexus Brings a Host of Cool Concepts to the 2022 SEMA Show
This array of custom rides at the 2022 SEMA Show shows just what’s possible with Lexus’ current lineup.
While a handful of other automakers and automotive brands decided to skip the 2022 SEMA Show, the aftermarket extravaganza hasn’t missed a beat, with a slew of amazing rides, new parts and accessories, and various other entertaining showcases filling the interior and exterior of the Las Vegas Convention Center this year.
Lexus certainly has a strong presence at the 2022 SEMA Show as well, bringing with it a rather large number of concepts and other vehicles it’s eager to show off as it enters the brave new world of electrification. Here’s a look at every cool concept the luxury brand has on display at this year’s Las Vegas-based event.
DSPORT IS 600+ Project Build
This particular list starts with a cool one – the DSPORT IS 600+ Project Build, which began life as a regular IS 350 F Sport but has been transformed into a 600 horsepower monster courtesy of a twin-turbocharged all-aluminum V35A 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s running on E85. That power flows to the wheels via a Samsonas full-sequential 6-speed transmission, while the rest of the car has also been fortified with KW Double Adjustable coilovers, carbon ceramic brakes, and various carbon fiber body parts to reduce weight.
LX 600 Urban Concept
Building upon last year’s LX 600 F Sport debut at SEMA, the LX 600 Urban Concept is designed for the sophisticated urban traveler. It’s equipped with a custom Artisan Spirits multi-piece body kit with color matched paint and exposed carbon fiber, HRE 540 Series wheels with a Satin Bronze Center Finish and Gloss Black Outers, a custom Artisan Spirits Black Label Titanium exhaust, and Gloss Black Brembo B-M8 brakes.
LX 600 Alpine Lifestyle Concept
Next up, we have the LX 600 Alpine Lifestyle Concept, which features a Dissent Off-Road Body Armor System, JAOS Carbon Fiber Over Fenders, Rigid Industries lighting, Vossen HF6-4 Hybrid Forged 20×9.5 Anthracite wheels, BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, a TrekBoxx Expedition System, and a full catalog of goodies from Yeti.
GX 460 Overland Concept
Based on the 2022 GX 460 Blackline Edition, the GX 460 Overland Concept takes things a few steps further by adding an Old Man Emu suspension, Toyo Open Country MT tires, a CBI front bumper, a rear cargo area with Goose Gear drawers, a Kaon table and racks, an ARB fridge, CBI sliders and skid plates, a Prinsu roof rack, Yakima roof top tent, ARB Linx switch control system, Rigid lighting, ARB compressor, and Yaesu 2M radio.
In addition to these cool new concepts, Lexus is also showing off the Electrified Sport concept, as well as a special RX 500h F SPORT Performance AWD model finished in a Matte Violet Metallic wrap with 22-inch Rays Engineering Homura 2x15BD wheels with Michelin® Pilot Sport tires, making the 2022 SEMA Show a must-see for Lexus fans around the globe.
