Lexus Celebrates 100 Thieves’ Historic Championship Win With Thieves NX
Thieves NX is a 2022 NX 350 F SPORT Handling AWD with generative artwork. The company designed this vibrant graphic representation by leveraging championship gameplay data.
The all-new Lexus NX 350 is a fantastic product, and the all-wheel-drive turbocharged crossover is also an exciting driver’s car. Although there are some things that we would like to change about the NX 350, we also can’t help but be amazed by Lexus’ exciting new offering. Recently Toyota’s luxury sub-brand unveiled a custom NX that flaunts a vibrant new design. Thieves NX is the name of this one-off Build.
The car commemorates 100 Thieves’ historic esports championship win. After three years in making 100, Thieves secured the title in the summer of 2021. Lexus is 100 Thieves’ automotive partner, and the new Thieves NX celebrates the occasion with generative artwork. The new design also leverages championship gameplay data, chronicling the team’s journey to victory.
Lexus calls its new aesthetic the Champion Print. Fans of 100 Thieves will recognize the new design as it replicates the team’s signature geo print. Lexus put a new spin on the map responsible for the team’s triumph. With the help of a generative design tool, Lexus developed the eye-catching graphic representation. Furthermore, Lexus was able to finalize the design using the raw player data from 100 Thieves’ championship win.
The curves, nodes, and lines of Thieves NX graphics represent the movements and player actions from the 11 winning playoff matches.
In addition to top player names, reflective red ink denotes every win. Vice president of Lexus marketing Vinay Sahani shared his thoughts on the Thieves NX. “We felt the best way to commemorate our partner’s tremendous championship win was to build a one-of-a-kind THIEVES NX which was inspired by the team’s winning journey,” shares Shahani.
He adds, “The intuitive and tech-forward features of the Lexus NX make it the perfect canvas and co-conspirator for this type of creative venture”. The car sporting the new Champion Print is a 2022 NX 350 F SPORT Handling AWD. Along with ambient illumination, we find embossed headrests, puddle lamps, door sills, and floor and cargo mats inside the cabin, inspired by 100 Thieves.
Founder and CEO of 100 Thieves Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag shared his excitement for the Thieves NX. “I can’t think of a more fitting way to celebrate our championship win than our own exclusive Lexus NX,” shares Haag. He adds, “We can’t wait to drive the THIEVES NX around LA and show it off to our fans at events.”
