Lexus Customer Service Goes to the Dog
Remember a while back when Lexus was launching the Lexus Difference program to make the dealership experience more inviting for all? Well, that program has apparently gone to the dogs.
A Lexus dealership in Santa Fe, New Mexico has hired Bella, a five-month-old Jack Russell/French Bulldog puppy, as the store’s official greeter. She gets paid in “treats and pats,” according to local news stationĀ KRQE 13.
Yes, as the video below proves, this really did make the news in Santa Fe.
Hey, good for Lexus of Santa Fe, Bella’s employer. And good for any of their customers who aren’t allergic to dogs too, cause Bella seem’s eager to please. She also seems genuinely smart, so much so that she dances upon two feet at the command of her master, Will Kopper, a front parts counter employee at the dealership.
Perhaps what’s most impressive about Bella’s short stint as a Lexus greeter is that she refuses to be defined by her job title. Bella also acts a runner by bringing parts to the techs and loaner keys to the customers, using her handy-dandy and super-cute doggie saddle bags. Pretty impressive, considering all my dog would deliver is a whole lot of barking.
Of course, if the dealership went ahead and hired a cat as the official co-greeter, well, that would really be the purrrrrrrsuit of purrrrrfection.
