Lexus Dominated July Sales
Now this is what we like to see. For the month of July, Lexus took the crown from the Germans in US sales. With 29,816 models moved, Lexus was able to sell more cars than either Mercedes-Benz (27,256) or BMW (26,970). Thanks to some nice summer deals, and the strong sales of the new NX, Lexus is gaining more customers against the competition.
Sadly, this is the first month that Lexus has been on top in 2015, and they are still in third for the year behind Mercedes and BMW. But things are looking up. So far this year, Lexus is showing a full 14-percent growth over last year while BMW and Mercedes can only claim gains of 7.7-percent and 6.4-percent respectively.
We know that Lexus is better than those boring Germans, so it’s nice to see the sales numbers reflect that reality. If you are wondering where Audi is at in this talk, well it’s at the bottom. Audi is quick to point out that is has had almost five years of record sales, but even with a 21-percent growth, they only managed to move 17,654 units. They have a long way to go before they can even hope to threaten the might of Lexus.
