Lexus’ ‘Senses Electrified’ Event in Italy Rescheduled to June
Citing coronavirus issue, Lexus installation is now set for summer.
In consideration of the ongoing health concerns regarding the current outbreak of coronavirus disease, the Lexus Design event “Senses Electrified” has been rescheduled to June 16-21, following the postponement of Milan Design Week 2020. The Grand Prix Selection of the Lexus Design Award 2020 will also be made at that time. According to Lexus, the decision was made to ensure the safety of visitors and stakeholders.
Lexus had initially planned to return this year to Milan Design Week, the world’s largest design exhibition, with the “Senses Electrified” exhibit featuring Lexus vehicles. For their 13th year in Milan, Lexus commissioned Loop.pH, a London-based spatial laboratory, to present a vision of an electrified future where transportation engages the senses. In partnership with Loop.pH, Lexus aims to create a dynamic and immersive experience that was inspired by the LF-30 Electrified concept car.
“We really enjoy working with the Lexus brand because it is both visionary and human-centered,” said Loop.pH founder and director Mathias Gmachl (pictured above). ‘”The installation aims to be an extension of your senses. [and] leads you on a journey through a series of immersive environments that reveal the perception-amplifying possibilities of electrification.”
“Senses Electrified” was initially scheduled for April 21-26 during Milan Design Week.
