From Pennsylvania to California, there is a scorching supercar show coming to your area, with something for every Lexus fan!
Lexus wants the premium marque to be a luxury lifestyle brand as well as an automotive brand. To that end, Lexus has gotten involved in other ventures to expand their brand and interact with drivers. They made the LY650 luxury yacht and opened numerous concept stores and restaurants under the Intersect by Lexus name. But bottomline, it is about the cars.
And there is no better time of year to socialize and enjoy some daytripping in your favorite Lexus. If you are interested sharing your passion for Lexus with like-minded enthusiasts, we found a number of events and meetups in the upcoming months that are a great place to show off your ride, check out some cool vehicles, and have a great time.
Lexus Cars & Coffee – Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, June 8
Lexus dealership Thompson Lexus Willow Grove in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, will host its second Cars & Coffee event on Saturday, June 8, from 8-11 a.m. Interestingly, if you reach the dealership before 10 a.m., you can meet the official mascot of the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team, the Phillie Phanatic. Last year, this event reportedly attracted a great crowd as well as a rare 2012 Lexus LFA (remember, Lexus made just 500 of these) and, of course, plenty of Lexus enthusiasts. Thompson Lexus Willow Grove is located at 2560 Maryland Rd. in Willow Grove.
Down to Earth Days – Brighton, Colorado, June 9
Fans of imported cars will want to check out the third annual Down to Earth Days, which will happen on June 9 at the Adams County Fair in Brighton, Colorado. Set to take place from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., the event will feature a live drift exhibition by professional drivers, music, food trucks, and more. The organizers will also be handing out 15 Best in Class trophies, including Most Unique/Creative, Best VIP, Best Euro, and Best in Show. It’s a great way to take part in the Colorado car culture community. Plus, it is an affordable event. Vehicle registration costs $25, while the spectator fee is only $5. Adams County Fair is located at 9755 Henderson Road in Brighton.
Father’s Day Car Show – Arlington, Texas, June 16
Arlington, Texas, will be honoring dads with a Father’s Day Car Show on June 16, from noon to 3 p.m., at Texas Live! The event is open to all categories of vehicles and there is a vehicle registration fee of $25. (The deadline for registration is June 10, and organizers will close registration after 200 vehicles.) And if you want to check this out as a spectator, there is plenty to see. Vehicles are organized into 20 different classes, including a “Pre-80’s Muscle Car Class” and “2010 & Newer Classes,’ with the emphasis on high-end, luxury, and import cars. Texas Live! is located at 1650 E. Randol Mill Rd. in Arlington.
Peace Classic Car and Truck Show – Des Moines, Iowa, June 16
The 17th Annual Peace Car and Truck Show will take place on Father’s Day in Des Moines, Iowa, on the grounds of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. There will be vintage cars and trucks, sexy supercars, performance-driven rides, modified and rare whips, and some beautiful Lexuses. Event organizers expect at least 200 cars and trucks on display. The event has raffle prize drawings, and door prizes. In addition to the cars, there will be food, music, giveaways, and a Top 50 show multiple awards. You can showcase your vehicle for less than $20, and it’s free for spectators. Registration will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, with participant voting from noon to 1:30 p.m., and prizes awarded at 3:30 p.m. Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church is located at 5615 SW 14th St. in Des Moines.
Cars, Corks & Clubs – San Luis Obispo, California, June 29
If you love cars, wine, and golf, then you will be interested in the Cars, Corks and Clubs luxury car event that takes place at the Dairy Creek Golf Course in San Luis Obispo, California. Plenty of high-end, luxury and exotic cars will be on display. Attendees can play a round of golf and enjoy wine from some of California’s best wineries in a beautiful setting. Fun golf fact: Lexus sponsors over 10 professional golfers including Jason Day and Lydia Ko.
Set to take place from 1-4 p.m., this is a family-friendly event, so there will also be entertainment activities for the kids, too. A portion of proceeds will go to the non-profit-organization Along Comes Hope, which provides support to families of children with cancer. Dairy Creek Golf Course is located at 2990 Dairy Creek Rd. in San Luis Obispo.
Hot Import Nights – Kansas City, Missouri, July 6
Are you a fan of hot modified vehicles and a bangin’ party? Then you should check out Hot Import Nights, which will take place at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 6. If you’re looking for fireworks over Independence Day weekend, this will definitely deliver!
Hot Import Nights is essentially an automotive-inspired pop-culture festival, so in addition to hundreds of imported cars and vehicles, the event will also include a live DJ, entertainment zones, merchandise stands, and more. Hot Import Nights will be touring all over the USA and abroad all year, be sure to check out their tour schedule. Arrowhead Stadium is located at 1 Arrowhead Dr. in Kansas City.
Crazy for Cars – Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, July 7
The 10th annual Crazy for Cars Show will be held at Memorytown USA in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania. The vehicle registration fee is $15 only (spectators free) and you can bring any category of vehicle. This event usually attracts a wide range of vehicles, and some very cool imports. Notably, this is another event with an altruistic bent, with proceeds from the show going to the non-profit organization Animal Welfare Society of Monroe. Cool cars and a great cause! Memorytown USA is located at 432 Grange Rd. in Mt. Pocono.
Lexus Cars & Coffee – Sharon, Massachusetts, July 7
Herb Chamber Lexus of Sharon will host a Cars & Coffee event at its Sharon, Massachusetts, location on July 7. All Lexus enthusiasts are invited, and it should be a fun event to soak up some summer sun and Lexus excellence. In addition to our favorite car, there will be classic cars, exotics, motorcycles, exotics, and more.
Monday at the Bahn – Joliet, Illinois, August 5
“Monday at the Bahn” is the kind of event that will attract hardcore driving enthusiasts at Club Lexus. MVP Track Time will host a track day at the Autobahn Country Club, located in Joliet, Illinois. This is a great opportunity to take your ride on the track. You don’t have to be a professional driver to attend this event–in fact MVP Track Time organizes separate track sessions for inexperienced drivers, and it has instructors on hand to assist. Do note though, the organizers will not allow trucks and SUVs on the track. Registration fee is $255.
