Lexus F SPORT Carbon Fiber Road Bike
The LFA supercar has paved the way for Lexus to create new manufacturing techniques utilizing the latest technologies available. The LFA was certainly an exercise which now enables Lexus to create amazing in many forms. Since the recent discontinuation of the LFA supercar, Lexus has manufactured a limited edition road bike using the same Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic from the flagship Lexus Fuji Apex sports car.
This exclusive road bike was assembled by the same Lexus Takumi who were integral in the build of the LFA. The same craftsmanship standards and attention to detail were utilized to manufacture this bike. Therefore the standards for fit and finish for this bike are above the industry standard. The bike was designed with the rider in mind using the best features on the market.
The Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic Chassis was designed to absorb vibration and harshness but at the same time reducing rider fatigue. The bike utilizes a 22 speed Shimano Dura Ace Di2 electronic shift system and crankset, Shimano Dura Ace wheels and brakes, Panaracer Race tires, Selle Italia saddle and carbon fiber stem, handle bars and forks.
There are 5 different sizes to the F SPORT Road Bike and only 100 units were made. Only 50 were made in Pearl White and the other 50 in a clearcoated but exposed carbon fiber finish. This bike was distributed to the Lexus distrubutors globally. Unfortunately this bike is not for sale in the United States and only two exist at the Lexus USA headquarters. It’s reported that this bike has a street value of over $10k USD.
