Lexus GX and TX: How to Watch the Double Debut!

The all-new Lexus GX and first-ever Lexus TX debut on Thursday, June 8 at 8:00 pm Eastern. You can watch below, or on YouTube.

Today Lexus unveiled its final two teaser images ahead of the combo Lexus GX and TX debut event. Slated to start at 8:00 pm Eastern on Thursday, June 8, Lexus will be showing off two new vehicles. The first-ever Lexus TX, a three-row crossover SUV that (presumably) is built on the same platform as the Toyota Grand Highlander. And the third-generation Lexus GX, which rumors currently indicate will be called the Lexus GX 550.

The Teaser Images – Our Reactions

Glancing at the two teaser images, we can see our first look at the new Lexus TX grille and Lexus L-swoosh LED daytime running light. Unlike the RX, which is a mix of the old spindle grille on the bottom, and a solid, painted upper portion, the new TX opts for a paint-matched horizontal lower grille with some spindle designs tucked into the negative space. Lexus has also placed its L-swoosh above the headlights, the opposite of how it’s usually oriented.

As for the GX, splashing in the mud, we can clearly see that there will be some sort of off-road trim/variant. Given the black grille, side mirrors, and roof, perhaps Lexus plans to expand the F Sport lineup to something like F Sport Off Road or F Sport Pro? I can only guess, but it looks rugged as hell in this new metallic brown color. Which contrasts nicely with what appears to be a silver skid plate. Overall, the new GX is giving off old-school Land Cruiser and Defender vibes and we can’t wait to test one out.

How to Watch the GX TX Debut

As with most modern vehicle debuts, Lexus plans to live stream the event on their YouTube channel. Again, the event starts at 8 pm Eastern on Thursday, June, 8, 2023. Interestingly, despite the fact that the press will be attending a single event for both vehicles, Lexus has two separate video feeds for the launch, which we are embedding below so you can enjoy them right here if you so wish.
