2022 Lexus IS 500 Launch Edition

Incognito grey with black trim and wheels makes the forthcoming IS 500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition look even meaner.

Today Lexus unveiled a limited-run Launch Edition version of their much-anticipated IS 500 F Sport Performance sedan. Boasting the same 472hp V8 engine, standard dynamic handling package, and Torsen differential as the standard IS 500, the Launch Edition features a unique Icognito grey paint job as well as a two-tone black and grey interior scheme and the seven-spoke matte black wheels from the IS 350 F-Sport Dynamic Handling Package.

Lexus plans to produce only 500 Launch Editions, each of which will be serialized with their production number.

Incognito grey manages to be both flat and glossy at the same time. If you want a Launch Edition, this is the only available color; if you want Incognito, you must get a Launch Edition.

The IS 500 Launch Edition features an exclusive two-tone grey and black interior with suede seating surfaces and door panels. Overall, it looks fantastic.

Although the Lexus Racing vehicle paired with the IS 500 Launch Edition includes Michelin tires, the standard tire on all IS 500s is the Bridgestone Potenza. (Hopefully Lexus makes Pilot Sport 4s tires optional.)
