Lexus LC TRD Performance Parts Hit Japan

Lexus and TRD waste no time rolling out exterior mods for new halo coupe. But when will they land stateside?

The ink is barely dry on the brand new Lexus LC 500 and LC 500h, but Toyota Racing Development (TRD) already has aftermarket parts available for purchase. For now, LC TRD parts are limited to the exterior. A number of aerodynamic aids are available, as well as a set of custom wheels. These parts undoubtedly mark what is only the beginning of a flood of LC TRD performance parts to come. That’s the good news. Now for the bad news…

Unfortunately, these LC TRD parts are only available through Japanese Lexus dealers. There is no word yet on when or if we’ll see them stateside. But, considering what we’ve seen so far, these mods are definitely something that we’re hoping will be available in the U.S. soon.

The wheels look great in Diamond Gray Metallic, and at $6,000 a set, they also represent the most expensive LC TRD part.

The aero bits include a front-lip spoiler, side skirts, a rear spoiler, and rear diffuser. In addition to giving the LC a more sporty and aggressive look, these parts aim to improve performance as well. TRD claims that they all work to improve balance and overall downforce. The parts are available individually, but obviously they’re meant to work as one cohesive unit.

All of the body parts are available painted to match your car’s factory color, or you can get them unpainted or in “Black Edition.” The parts, from side skirts to the front spoiler, generally run between $800 and $975.

If you’re looking for a set of wheels to spruce up your LC, TRD has a set of those for you as well. The 21-inch forged-aluminum hoops are designed to be lightweight and strong with a high level of rigidity. With less unsprung weight than stock LC wheels, they should improve ride quality and performance, too. Plus they look great in Diamond Gray Metallic. The wheels also represent the most expensive LC TRD part at $6,000 for a set.
