Lexus LFA in Pearl Brown is a Real One of One
Strangely enough, only one out of 500 people wanted a brown Lexus LFA.
The Lexus LFA, in and of itself, is already a very rare car. With a grand total of 500 produced, the two seat supercar underwent a short production run over a short life span. Throw in the fact that each car was built to customer specifications, and any LFA is guaranteed to be pretty unique. But allowing that level of customization tends to lead to some, um, interesting design choices.
Just take this Pearl Brown LFA, which we spotted for sale on the James Edition website. It’s hard to fathom why anyone would want a brown supercar, yet here it is. And we must say, it doesn’t look half bad. Even though brown hasn’t been a popular automotive color choice since the 80’s. Our best guess is that the original owner was a Cleveland Browns fan, because the interior is orange.
The oddball color choice might hurt the value of most cars, but this is a Lexus LFA we’re talking about. Values have long hovered well over the original MSRP of $375,000, and this one of one is no exception. If you have a special place for the color brown in your heart, expect to pay $675,000 for #95 of 500. That’s a lot of coin, obviously, but at least you won’t have to worry about finding your LFA in a crowded parking lot.
