Lexus LFA

An ultra-rare 2012 Lexus LFA equipped with the Nürburgring package is currently up for sale on Bring a Trailer but brace yourself because the leading bid might shock you.

Every time a Lexus LFA goes up for sale, it stirs up quite a lot of excitement. We recently came across a 2012 LFA listed for sale on the popular auction website, Bring a Trailer which only has 2000 miles on the odometer. The car has a Montana title and a clean Carfax report. This particular example is also quite rare because it comes equipped with the Nürburgring package.

Lexus only produced 64 examples of LFA with this particular package, out of which only 15 units made their way to the United States. Of the 500 examples that Lexus built during a two-year production run, this 2012 LFA is the #349 car. The car is currently located in Santa Barbara, California, and sports a beautiful orange (9K5) paint job.

Even though the auction ends in 7 days, the leading bid has already reached $1.6 million. At this price point, this LFA is already twice as expensive as the 2012 Whitest White LFA, which recently sold for $808,000 at RM Sotheby’s Phoenix, Arizona sale. This 2012 Lexus LFA gets carbon fiber aero equipment as part of the Nürburgring package.

The Nürburgring package was a $70,000 option announced for the Lexus LFA back in March 2010.

A giant carbon-fiber wing dominates the rear end of this supercar, and at the front, we find carbon fiber canards. The overall power output of this LFA was increased by 10 HP. In addition to lightweight alloy wheels, this car also song gets a revised suspension and optional washers for the HID headlights. The current owner procured the vehicle back in March 2019 and installed a new battery in December.

More recently, the car was given a 6K-mile service which means it now rides on new tires. The 20-inch forged alloy rims are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The service also includes bleeding the brake system and refreshing all the fluids. It’s worth noting that this LFA has a slight imperfection in the door finish on the driver’s side. Lastly, the 2012 Lexus LFA also comes with a couple of gorgeous Tumi carbon fiber suitcases.
